The Beatles
Let It Be, rough mix
as aired on WBCN-FM, Boston
September 22, 1969

This is an air check from WBCN's historic airing of
what became the "Get Back" bootleg, the rough
version of "Let It Be". The broadcast occurred
at a time when, when you heard a DJ on the radio,
it was because he was there! And they actually spun
real discs and tapes. Programming decisions were
made in-house and not by a media conglomerate
on the other side of the country. DJ's were people
- are you ready for this? - who loved music!
What a concept!
