Bootleg of the Week

Heldon/Richard Pinhas
Bobino
Paris, France
April 28, 1981

This is an unbelievably good audience recording. Although (like is too often with dates) I can't seem to locate any info on the web about this show. I've found 2 from Bobino in "81, one from the 21st and another from the 27th. Both seem to have comments about them as being very poor quality and heavy hiss. This may in fact be 1 of those shows, but the quality is excellent. No setlist unfortunately.

Bootleg of the Week #2

BOOT OF THE WEEK #2

Derek Bailey passed away in London, Christmas Day 2005, from his battle with motor neuron disease. One of the greatest, ever. Since the early 60s he nearly created a wholly singular take, and possibly the root, of improv music and thought. And - he could really rock, too! Hear this one if you haven't before.
